Buffalo Technology's WZR-RS-G54 AirStation Wireless Secure Remote Gateway
Yes, it's another 802.11g wireless access point, but Buffalo Technology's new WZR-RS-G54 AirStation Wireless Secure
Remote Gateway has a little something different about it: it can double as a virtual private network server. The big
deal about that is that it means that you can remotely access your home network without having to run Windows Server or
a Linux VPN server, something (believe it or not, most people don't want to have to deal with), and get your music and
video collection, digital photos, documents, etc. Should be available this month and retail for $199.

You can just buy the Linksys BEFSX41 router, which sells for about $60.

Decent little firewall, and can act as a VPN gateway. Connect this to your Cable/DSL modem, and then put a WAP on the inside interface of the BEFSX41. Same benefits, for about half the price.
A friend of mine and I both have these at our house, and have a VPN running across the internet so we can access each other's music shares.

Even better, get a ZyXEL P334W. They were selling for $80 at CompUSA last I looked, and have built-in 802.11g, an SPI firewall, and support up to two IPSec VPN tunnels.

The above comments are all well and good, but what about the people that do not know how to set up all that jazz? Simplicity fellas, that's what real people want....Understand?
