The top five hotels for free WiFi

As we've reported before, it's nice to get free high-speed access when staying at a hotel, but it's another, even nicer thing to get free WiFi access.  HotelChatter have compiled a list of the top five hotel chains for free WiFi access.  At the top are the Klimpton properties, who offer free WiFi access in both lobbies and rooms.  According to reported anecdotes, they even offer great in-room service if your connection isn't going as planned.  Other chains at the top include Omni Hotels, Marriott Residence Inn, Best Western, and Holiday Inn.

Comfort Inn chains have them as well. I recently stayed at a Sleep Inn which is one of their hotels and since at the time I didn't have a Wifi card they let me use theirs. Their connection wasn't great until about 11pm but it was nice to be on high speed after days of dial-up at the other motels along the way (was driving across country).

The place where they had WiFi was Marriot Courtyard...filthy mattress, dirty sheets, stinky old carpet, stained hairdryer (with what, I'm not sure) moldy tub AND NO FREAKING RESTAURANT but they had WiFi... :)
