Fox making mini version of the show "24" for cellphones
To be perfectly honest, we never really started watching that show 24 mainly because it just seemed like 24
whole hours was a little more of a commitment than we were ready to make to a TV show. But 24 minutes? Yeah, we can
probably handle that. At least, that's what Fox is hoping. They just cut a deal to create a new series of 24 one minute
episodes based on characters from the show 24 (they're trying to get everyone to call them "mobisodes", but
that is way beyond weak) that are exclusively for download over Vodafone's new high-speed 3G wireless service in the
UK. At least at first. Eventually you'll be able to get your mobile fix of 24 in at least 23 other countries
(see, the number 24 keeps coming up), and sooner or later even here in the States courtesy of their joint venture with
Verizon Wireless.
[Thanks, Rainie]

Perfect! I can watch the "mobisodes" (yes, I choked up coffee when I read that) on my hot new Samsung i730! How are these one-minute episodes going to work? Streaming video? Will they end up just being commercials for the new episodes?
Oh, and it's definitely the kind of show worth investing 24 hours in.

Yeah you're right there. They should definately be calling them "mobi-casts". Or how about "ipod-sodes" : if they can get them to run on iPod Photo
Sorry bout that. Just saying ;-)

24 is one of the best major network shows of the past several years. I highly reccomend picking up the DVDs or renting them. They are great when you get snowed in over the winter. I really enjoyed the show.

saying that you don't have time to watch 24 hours of a show is silly considering all the crappy movies you or anybody has watched, could go into the tousands, ( in it's genre, few movies come close to 24 ) i personally like getting more of something good, and that's including the small movies if i could get em in my cell.
