The Nokia 2651 gets closer

We have yet to hear about an American carrier committing to the 2651, that new super stylie, all-white flipphone
from Nokia that would fulfill all of our minimalist 2001 fantasies were it not so feature-poor (i.e. no
Bluetooth, no built-in digital camera, and a 4,096 color LCD screen—we're just way too spoiled to go back now), but it
is getting a little closer: Nokia announced that the phone will be available later this year all over Latin
America.

As described on some other forums, this particulat Nokia, when flipped over, resembles a feminine napkin of the monthly kind.
This was pointed out by a female who was examining the phone herself.
Is this a new marketing strategy?
Seems like a natural progression.
Do a GIS for "Nokia connecting people" with adult search on, to see what I mean.
Before I read the comment above I thought it looked cool in a 2001-ish sort of way. Now, not so much.
Resembling the female napkin is something other country don't think about nor do they care. Only in USA do they fear of nudity and stuff related with sexuality. Latin Americans are very open and would probably prefer this phone in red.
Does anyone know how Nokia decides what model number to put on their phones. I mean this is a "total new looking" phone for Nokia bin so why not they call it the 8000 series? Or maybe because its too 2001ish that they put the lower model number on?
Nokias naming scheme is derived from what OS is on them.... Series, 30, 40, 60, Super60, 80 and 90. And also the scope of the phone, low end, bsiness model, and so on.
Damn I want one (I'm sorry Dave, these are not available to you yet, you are in America Dave...), and as far as the sanitary dressings are concerned, it never bothered John Lennon - http://www.anecdotage.com/index.php?aid=12202
Nice phone -- looks nice also. SIMPLE! and that is how I like a cell phone. Nice flip phone without an external antenna! Very good reception. I have tried three Moto phones at my home and this NOKIA works so much better!!
Got one, have it for about 5 months now. runs fine using my 32K GAIT Sim without issue.
Sound quality is excellent, both for receiving folks as well as on the phone itself.
I highly recommend this phone for any USA GSM users.
FYI- For those of you dying to get it. They are auctioning off for the first time only two US compatible versions of this phone on the IDSA National Auction.
