Voodoo ENVY m:790 uberlaptop

Need serious, portable power?  The Voodoo ENVY m:790 laptop of doom delivers desktop power in a laptop package.  At least that's what the people at Voodo are saying.  The ENVY comes with an Nvidia Geforce 6800 Go PCI Express module, up to 4 gigabytes of DDR-2 Memory, a 17" high resolution high gloss display, dual optical drives (yes, dual DVDRs - in a laptop), and SATA Raid.  It runs on a Pentium 4 775 processor and also sports a 7-in-1 card reader.  It's also yellow, which gives it a hardcore military sort of look.  And, no, it's not cheap.

You can customize it with any of their 7 color choices! Not stuck with the yellow. It also has a built-in camera and subwoofer, and wifi.

I am not "envy"-ous at all. Its a behemoth. Why they even bother to put a battery in that thing I dont understand.
To my fellow gamers...save your money. Buy a desktop, or the new Xbox next/Xbox2/Xbox-thing-a-ma-bob.

Please tell me where I can get a brand new portable Unix workstation cheaper than what Apple are selling them :)

Computers that don't come with a *nix system preinstalled with working power management need not apply.

Not all Apple customers are ignorant about computers (and prices), Microsoft customers who keep giving Microsoft one more chance to come up with something stable and secure, or pay $300US for a cut down office suite fit that description better.

look into sager laptops. lots of bang for a lot less buck than alienware or voodoo. i had one custom configured and done up with a chameleon paint job from pctorque.com for much less $$$$.
