The Elonex eXentia Media Center PC
Damn, the Brits are definitely keeping pace with us in the stylie Media Center PC department, especially since the
release of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 a few weeks ago. The latest to crop up across the pond is the Elonex
eXentia, an all-in-one model that they've packed into a 32-inch LCD TV that doesn't skimp on the specs: a 3.0GHz
processor, 512MB of RAM, a 200GB hard drive, an 8-in-1 memory card reader, a DVD+-R/RW drive, and built-in 802.11a/b/g
(which is somewhat uncommon for a Media Center).

That is amazing How much in american?
That's a G5 right? ;)
How original.. but I don't want to put Slammer.Virii on my TV, thanks.
I don't get that price - just the LCD would cost that much, so it's either a very poor quality no-name one, or they got that "Buy 150 LCD TV's get 1 free" offer like CNN.
well it sure is good lookin'
Brad, the price on that website is in British Pounds...so that would be $4,268.61 USD. An LCD TV is approximately just over $2,000, so that makes it an additional $2,268.61 worth of hardware. Some 32" LCD TV's are around $3,000..but still...you get my point.
What, you mean the whole world doesn't use the US dollar?!? Why not? They should be made to, by force if necessary! Otherwise it will all be just too confusing for poor Brad!
Dan, get prepared for the EURO.
For now everything coming from EURO based countries, you will pay highly for.
Erm, I didn't make it clear, but I'm British. Sorry.
Is this for Real - Has anybody bought one yet?
Can anybody tell me if it's the real McCoy? Does anyone have a report to tell us...
Cheers Dave (In the UK)
Its a samsung unit, so not the best ever LCD, but not too shabby either. Getting one for the office here. I'll let you know how it works.
after seeing this I asked some friends - and I hear that Microsoft employees are buying this for themselves at Christmas - it is being promoted there. Good enough for me.
I have seen the proto-type of this machine at a show in London, I have never seen anything like it, the whole thing is brushed aluminium (No plastic at all) and the screen is very sharp, I really can’t find a bad thing to say about it, I would recommend you see this unit before making a judgement
