Logitech Z-5500 goes to 11
A recent trend of powered speaker systems that go to 11 continues with the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 set (shouldn't this have already been a fad a long time ago?). For $300, you get a full 5.1 system, including subwoofer, amplifier, and Dolby Digital decoder with optical input. For a system at this price point, it puts out a decent amount of sound, and the subwoofer measures 10-inches in size, the biggest in its class. Reviews have been glowing so far, so if you've been holding out for a smaller surround system, this could be the one.
