New world record for fastest text messaging?
Supposedly some high school kid in Utah broke the world record for fastest text messaging yesterday, tapping out the official sentence the Guinness people use to judge these things ("The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.") on his cellphone keypad (no predictive text or QWERTY keyboards allowed) in just 57.75 seconds, beating the previous record by nearly ten seconds. Except that last we'd heard, the record was held by a Singaporean woman who'd been able to do it under 44 seconds. There's only one way to settle this: a battle royale among all the top text message tappers in the world.

It's not a text messaging contest unless all parties are drunk!
What losers, I just typed it in 28 secs.
On my laptop keyboard of course, I'm not crazy enough to even attempt this on my phone. It takes a solid 60 secs just to type http://www.cnn.com on my phone...
I can do this on my Treo 650 in about 50 seconds without practice or any stress. It just goes to show you the value of QWERTY input on phones.
Hmmmm...helps them cheat faster at tests?
I did it in under 4 seconds. Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. Let me see your cell phone beat THAT!
Alright, I go to school with Ben, the kids amazing, and you can not use QWERTY, or anything except the basic (2 is ABC, 3 is DEF, 4 is GHI, etc.) So if any of you REALLY think your any good, come down and challenge him. Oh, also he got a commercial with Cricket, a free cell phone, with infinite text messaging and calling, forever. *EAT IT*
