Casio's new IT-10 ruggedized Pocket PC

Casio IT-10 Pocket PC

We're constantly on the lookout for a handheld with a superlong battery life and that we can throw against a wall or use in one of the many dust storms we encounter here in downtown Manhattan, which is why we were pleased to hear about the Cassiopeia IT-10, Casio's new ruggedized Pocket PC aimed at the enterprise market that's designed to be water, shock, and dust resistant (it can withstand a drop of 3.3 feet). Also has a 3.7-inch VGA resolution LCD screen, a massive battery that you can squeeze up to 27 hours of juice out of (!), CompactFlash and SD expansion card slots, a 416MHz processor, 64MB of RAM, 64MB of ROM, Bluetooth, 802.11b WiFi, and runs on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC. It'll set you back a grand, so just make sure you put it on the company card, ok? (And yes, it does look a mighty lot like the DT-10 M50S, that other new Pocket PC they just introduced a few weeks ago.)
