Greg Hughes loves his U-Connect Bluetooth-enabled Dodge Ram truck
Tech and IT blogger Greg Hughes posted that
he picked up a Dodge Ram truck that's fitted with U-Connect, Crysler's Bluetooth goodie bag that's all a geek could ask
for. He notes that the setup was a breeze, and he can now take calls over his car stereo or use voice recognition to
call mom. The stereo system is completely integrated, with microphones in the rear-view mirror.

Cool truck, really cool package, probably will take off and replace OnStar, or maybe they can coexist and live and work peacefully side by side. Now if only Blue Tooth had an auto pilot feature.

uh. show me the Dodge thats available with OnStar... i doubt this will 'replace' OnStar as OnStar is a GM product clearly not available on any Dodge. a competitor perhaps. replacement no.
no OnStar on Dodge. sort of like no Mac OS X on a Dell.

Yeah, except you can get OnStar on non-GM cars. Like Audi, for example.
010111 @ Dec 19th 2005 2:10AM
yes. but with Audi that was a recent licensing agreement with GM. every other OnStar equipped vehicle is either GM or GM-invested makers.
but if you think this new system by Dodge will replace OnStar on GM cars... go right ahead and believe that. most likely GM will introduce some Bluetooth hooks into the existing OnStar package on higher end cars like Cadillac or Saab.

"every other OnStar equipped vehicle is either GM or GM-invested makers."
Uhh, no! Acuras have OnStar, too. Honda's on their own.

On 10/22/04, I purchased a grand Cherokee Jeep Limited with U-connect. I had to wait until my 2-year connect ended to upgrade my cell phone. On 4/15/05, I purchased a bluetooth cell phone and I love the technology. No wires to get tangled up in the seat belt. COOL! All of my friends are amazed when a call comes through. Good job Crysler

I have the U Connect in my Chysler 300. The problem I'm having is the people I'm calling can't hear me very well but I hear them great. Is there a way to turn the mic up.
