Maybe we should just concede that you can stuff a USB flash drive into just about anything and we'll do a post on
it, but the latest to feed our compulsion is a plush mouse flash drive with 128MB of storage on it. Your three-year-old
has to keep her PowerPoint presentations somewhere, doesn't she?
Okay, they want $40 for this? I've got a better idea. Buy a cheap CF card reader for $8 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-300-402&depa=1). Buy a cheap 128MB CF for about $10 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-160-008&depa=1). Insert CF into reader, then cram that reader into any stuffed animal you want (within reason) and you've built a 128MB flash drive that better suits your tastes for less than half the price. Consider it a use for all those useless beanie babies your grandma gave you for Christmas last year.
Now, can we please stop posting all these flash drive gadgets disguised as either cuddly toys or plasticy looking food?
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Madness! I mean, just look at the size of that toy mouse. They should have been able to fit in a couple of Gbs at least!

I don't know, bk, if you're sick of reading about gadgets, you're probably at the wrong website! :)
Mike, I love the gadgets, but after seeing 10 things disguised as flash drives, it gets a little old.
Now, where did I put all those beanie babies? I've got some modifications to do. They'll make great stocking stuffers.
