TimeTrax Connect satellite radio recorder
TimeTrax, makers of the popular satellite radio recording
software for the XM PCR, has released the TimeTrax Connect, which will let anyone with an XM Connect receiver
automatically record broadcasts after setting up a recording schedule. Fifty bucks gets you the TimeTrax adapter,
software, and necessary cables to record satellite radio to WAV or MP3 format directly to your PC. XM probably won't
like this, either.

Any word on a Sirius version? I could see myself getting one of these. :)
This has been out for a little over a month. Works pretty good, with the exception of one thing. Since it uses an existing XM car module and connects into your sound card using a RCA to Din cable, the sound is a bit "tin like". Its attributed to the XM car module using 4v connectors and the sound card "in" being 2v. But I believe there is a work around I need to look up.
Timetrax owner:
Why wouldn't you just record the online stream instead of going to all this trouble? Is it a sound quality issue?
well this automaticly creates mp3's based on name, had "tivo" like functionality where you can schedule recordings as XM has "shows", and the online stream is at best 128bitm abd subject to the wims of the internet. XM is CD quality and the program records at near CD quality. The sounds quaility it good, just need to work out the 2v vs 4v issue..
ok that was good... I really need to spell check these posts! lol
try this one instead...

still missed "quaility" man...
Maybe I am behind the curve, but is there going to be a Sirius or XM reciever that will work in your car and record the artist and or songs that you set on a removable card that you could carry with you and play on your computer or Ipod, etc. Who would provide it? Sirius or XM or Timetrax or others.
Major bugs, software is nearly unuseable. Support Forumns were closed yesterday, users have made their own support forumn:
