Down on those Oakley Thump MP3 sunglasses
The styling on these always seemed a little suspect to us, but Alex Veiga over at the AP says that extremeness aside, Oakley's new 128MB and 256MB Thump MP3 player sunglasses are just not worth the money. He says that the biggest problem is that the earbuds just won't stay in your ears. Apparently they pop out with even the slightest turn of the head and have trouble staying put if you're jogging or exercising, which is lame since being able to be active while listening to music is sort of the point of having these in the first place, right?

This could easily be solved by connecting the earbuds with a little wire instead of this fixed solution. Sure, it looks less designed that way but at least its usable!
I can't believe they worked for Lance Armstrong... he is a picky sucker... and I would have thought they would have fixed any issues that he would have had with thenm.... of course unless the ear buds are for his ears and not universal... hmmmm
Based on the version we've been using for weeks (and reviewed on iPodlounge), that particular criticism's not going to be accurate unless your ears are set especially far back from the bridge of your nose, or the glasses are used improperly. Thump is far from a perfect product, but there's certainly a way for people with normally proportioned heads to keep music highly audible at all times.
has the design team behind this been fired yet? ugh, what a sales failure! like the magazine reviews and highlights don't directly correspond with ads being placed in the mags...
what is such a piece o' shit!

to me personally from the side view it looks like a new age missile to be used in WW III, i think its ugly and it's sales are bound to bomb!!
I honestly thought it was a paintball gun on first inspection...
I think that the earbuds need to be properly adjusted. They do not fit all peoples ears, they do fit 99% but not all. I have worn them running, boating, and on some of the most advanced roller coasters, and I had no problem as explained by the reviewer.
I checked them out this weekend, and I think the problem is that the ear buds aren't designed to actually go INSIDE your ears. They're supposed to rest just over your ears. They're plenty loud that way and trust me, you won't shake them loose. I did a few laps around the store and tried to see what the reviewer meant, but really didn't see any problems with them. I was skeptical, but they're a pretty badass gadget.
the beauty of the Oakley THUMP is that the ear bud's do not need to be in you ear to use the product. I can not stand having things in my ear. try them you will buy them
I have not had any problems at all with my ear buds moving even if I shake my head...thats bogus. The sound quality is great, they look great...wouldn't use anything else...tired of my arms getting tangled in wires when trying to ride/jog.
They are expensive, but look at what they are! I like mine :)
The Oakley thumps are the best ever, I love them, the fit is amazing even when I mountain bike. Get them if you can afford them and you are not a cheap ass, if you can't afford something you always hate it, I used to be like "Thump??? That's stupid" But now that I have the sexy red camo I LOVE THEM
