The, uh, homemade iPod Koozie
Usability professional Jason Valalik sent us pictures of his homemade iPod koozie (Or is it cozy? Anyone?). While we can't say that he's the first one to think of this, we're pretty sure he's the first one to actually follow through with the idea. According to Jason, the Koozie is easy to make, protects the iPod, and keeps it cold on those hot summer days. It's not very pretty, although he promises us it's just a prototype.

I dont know which is a more retarded invention... this or the Apple iPod sock
Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works.
But.
Those things insulate to keep things cold. I.E. cold beer cans and other such things that start out cold.
Now, unless I am mistaken, wont this make the iPod get really hot and really quickly because, due to insulation, heat will be kept in ?
Last time I looked the aim was not to cook and iPod in it's own juices.
I use my iPod while snowboarding. Sometimes I get nervous about the impact I'm having on the iPod during hard falls. This might be a good way to protect it.
... And since it's already cold, the heat isn't likely to be an issue. If anything it will help battery life, since the iPod is known to have shorter battery life when it's cold.
Why the hell is this news?
This isn't news, just an idea. Kind of like the IPOD sock and the various other Ipod cases out there. Repurposing an already existing idea.
Chris,
That's what I'd like to know. If you guys want pics of me jamming my iPod into random things that will protect it from the elements/impact, just let me know.
Hate to break up this jibber jabber, but we need to get down to the REAL issue. Its definately beer-COZY, and NOT beer-CUZZI. It's not a jacuzzi, it keeps it cozy. Just thought I'd settle the matter.
Russdog:
Are you sure? Are you from the south? Because I think they say Cozy down there..
If you goole Koozie and Cozy you get much more relevant results with Koozie.
