D-Link DGL-4300 GamerLounge router promises wireless game LAN goodness
D-Link today announced the 108Mbps Super-G & Gigabit DGL-4300
GamerLounge Gaming Router which promises to make LAN parties a thing of ease, cheese, chips, and soda. The unit sports
four 1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports with up to 108Mbps 802.11g, and D-Link swear up and down that this thing will
bless you with lag-free LAN parties. It also includes a Flash-based configuration tool that has various game
settings built-in for quick router settings. $179 and available now-ish.

Not for nothing, but I have a d-link wireless router and two wireless cards for my laptops. Their drivers suck *SO* badly that I'm surprised they are still in business. I tried to talk a friend out of buying their product, but he didn't listen. He just apologized to me the other day after spending two weeks getting their drivers to work.
D-Link? Just say no.
YES. I've been meaning to drop cords all together at lan parties from now on, but it can be so spendy. This thing is pretty awesome for a decent price.
Now we just have to convince people to chip in $20 to get a 802.11b USB adapter ;)
gotta be g or it will slow everyone else down
NOPE. Avoid D-Link at all costs. Not a signe device from them worked as advertised, it all crashes and burns down. I always go for linksys - never fails on me.
Ugh. If D-Link's stillborn MediaLounge streaming-video POS is any indication, this thing is going to S U C K.
A year in and the miserable thing STILL can't play half the video formats it claims on the box, support offers nothing but unhelpful cut-and-paste responses to the wrong questions, and people are plotting a class-action lawsuit.
They may well still be happily shipping the thing with the Wifi antenna connected to the wrong socket on the inside so that you have to void your warranty and take the thing apart to fix it yourself as support has yet to acknowledge that there's even a problem. But thanks for contacting them!
I hope whoever the product manager is for this useless, blue-lit bookend on my shelf gets fired.
OK, I feel a bit better now.
Don't buy whatever this contraption is that the post is about.
ive read alot of good reviews on this router. i just went from my old wired dlink to a new wireless dlink and couldnt be happier.
I have used D-link switches without problems for many years now and MaximumPC just gave this unit a great review. So I'm buying one. Does anyone know if this has QOS settings for VOIP providers like Vonage. Or how to setup your own? Thanks.
