Ricoh's latest Caplio, the 5mp R1V
What's that you say? A consumer point and shoot digital camera with more than 3x optical zoom? Surely, you must be joking! Well, it looks like Ricoh's finally joined the short shortlist of camera makers who can make that claim; their new Caplio R1V has 4.8x zoom in an inch-thick package, the same superfast shutter response and wide-angle lens, and another unique feature we're really stoked on: dual battery types. Not only does it have a lithium-ion rechargable, but it can also use off-the-shelf or high-end rechargable AAs. Hot damn.
