Sigma Bluebox HD II turns your monitor into a HDTV
It's not the same kind of bluebox to make CapnCrunch get his panties in a wad, and if your HDTV receiver has a DVI
output this probably isn't such a big deal to you either. But for those looking for something with higher end features
on a budget (hey, this thing is for tuning to your monitor) Sigma's Bluebox HD II has that and even some extras that
other HDTV receivers just don't have. For example, PVR modes and USB 2.0 and FireWire connections in addition to NTSC
support (and, we hope, downsampling) and the standard hi-def ATSC modes (1080i, 720p, 480p). We might be put over the
edge by 1080p support, but with something this small and cute (and cheap), we're still pretty impressed.

Cool, but at first glance it seems to only accept OTA signals - which is nice (and free), but not a replacement for cable or satellite HD content...
:(
I'm looking for a pal version of a similar device..
This looks really great.. With built-in PVR trough an external harddisk..
Please SIGMACOM or Elgato or Eyegonomic or Viewsonic make a device that can convert my 20" Cinema Display into a HDTV!!
One that uses DVB-T & PAL, One that works with Mac Os X or as a standar Firewire DV device to capture my console games with iMovie or any other software..

Make it now so Gaspar, Baltasar & Melchor can give it to me this Christmas :P
Luv them old school hacking references! Whistle me a 2600 Hz tune baby!
Looks all fine and good, but where can you actually purchase such a thing?

Where do ya get this thing? I went to the company's website and can't find any info on who sells it. Please post a response if you know. Thanks
