GoVideo and AMD's Au1200, together forever

GoVideo PVP

Like a shotgun wedding, the newly announced AMD Alchemy Au1200 processor already has a home in GoVideo's latest lineup of PVPs. The Au1200, AMD's new mobile multimedia-centric processor that sips—not guzzles—power at 400 mW at 400MHz, has hardware AES crypto, an integrated LCD controller, USB 2.0 host/device-capailities (aka USB-On-The-Go), and runs runs Linux and CE.net. GoVideo's player will support, among other things, MPEG2/4 video, WMV9, H.263 (trust us, you won't use it), and, of course, DivX. We're so glad that GoVideo's getting hitched and actually trying to redefine their namesake, but we're probably going to have to wait until later this week at CES before we can see this stuff in the flesh (the pictured player is one of their older ones).
