iPod flash will have a screen?
Think Secret already had a pretty tight track record for accuracy when it came to Apple rumors, but getting sued by Steve Jobs and co. over a couple of product leaks just gave them some massive street cred, which is why we're inclined to think they're on to something when they dish out some serious dirt about the supposed flash-based iPod that's going to be announced next week. There was already a first edition of the rumor that claimed that the iPod flash would come without a display, but Think Secret is pretty dang sure that the flash-based iPod Apple will introduce at MacWorld won't have a ClickWheel but will come with a small LCD screen that's two lines shorter than the one found in the iPod mini and will come in a 1GB version that will sell for $149 and a 2GB version that will sell for $199.

think secret have been spot on a number of "leaks" over the past years, and apple in the past few weeks have just made arses of themselves with all their litigation.
As for ipod flash it should weigh in it about £99 for a 1gb
at the $149 price, i would consider buying this, selling my miniPod and geting a 20 GB regular iPod.
"apple in the past few weeks have just made arses of themselves with all their litigation."
Really, I think Think Secret HARMS Apple.

Go Apple Go :-)
I agree with this... http://daringfireball.net/
Help me out here...is apple relying on the fact that most folks arent as up to speed as Engadget readers and dont realize there are so many other devices (that are more functional devices that many people already own) where you can stick in a simple memory card and get music out?
Why would you bother with the Ipod Flash except to continue your quixotic attempt to own every device every made?
Yes, i do realize how many Apple fans read this site. Go ahead. Give me your best shot!
Did you stop to think that maybe the rumors are false and Think Secret deserves to be sued? With Apple's stock at such high levels, rumors like these raise false expectations. Apple's stock will tank if they don't announce any of these rumored products. The problem is that the mainstream press is picking up these stories and they are not reporting them as rumors. Stock analysts at major brokerage firms are already basing their buy/sell recommendations on these rumors, which are being reported in the mainstream press as fact.
If Apple's stock tanks, then it is their own fault for producing inferior, overpriced products, and then sueing the few people that are truly enthused about their products
Ricardo, these sites aren't trying to pass off the rumours as facts; they're presented as rumours, nothing more. It's entirely the journalist's fault (as well as stock analysts) if they don't report them/receive them as rumours.
Personally, I am waiting for the iPod Flash just for the screen and touch-dial. If it turns out not to have both of them, I'll be pretty ticked, but I'll probably still get a 20Gig iPod.

Actually, it's completely the other way around. If I post on my Geocities site that Apple is coming out with a $39 flash iPod, I don't think anyone can sue me.
But if I have real actual information while under-NDA and post it, I will get sued. Or in the case of ThinkSecret, Apple is claiming that ThinkSecret is involved in getting this info. At the very least, companies often issue cease-and-desist orders when web sites publish leaked info.
The person that should be sued or told to keep quiet is the one who has signed the NDA. If it's someone at Think Secret, then Apple is correct. If not, then Apple needs to find the person(s) who are leaking this info.
To punish the receiver of info is not good business. To punish the one who broke their NDA, then that's what Apple needs to do.
