Stellus announces SDIO GPS receiver
Stellus Systems announced the SSI-SDIO-1000 (there's a catchy name!) an SDIO GPS receiver for Palm and Pocket PC PDAs. According to Stellus, it'll work with "off-the-shelf" mapping software, which would seem to mean they're not bundling anything with it. The company plans to make the receiver available both directly to consumers and as an OEM product. No pricing yet for the one-ounce unit, which Stellus is showing off at CES this week. Similar receivers from other vendors go for around $150-$200, so chances are the pricing on this will be on par.
