HP @ CES - Gwen Stefani's digital camera

Hit the floor here at CES again today and of course we had to find that digital camera Gwen Stefani designed/styled for HP. The camera's basically just a tricked out version of their 4.1 megapixel HP Photosmart R607 (i.e. they slapped a skin on it) and according to Gwen, is dedicated to the hyper-trendy girls of Harajuku (which is why they put the words "Harajuku Lovers" on the front, get it?).
gwen stefani sucks, and she needs to get off of these girls nuts bad. I've read in 3 different places now how she's blabbing about how great they are. sue me, I read free rolling stone on the toilet.

I think the camera is hot!!! Gadgets are in need of a major make over. I just wish it wasn't so Gwen Stefani fadish. Maybe they should have artist designed gadgets, like a Keith Haring iMac or a Warhol iPod photo with his entire collection. But only of artist that are alive not some rip off of their collection.

To all you clueless haters, the MTV generation will be known to have the largest discretionary income ever for consumer electronics, while shaping and influencing the industry for generations to come like no other. I think it's cool and I love Gwen Stefani. I've loved her for almost 10 years now and I think everything she does is amazing. There's nothing wrong with wanting a camera or an ipod that happens to look cute while it's doing it's job. Lighten up and have a little fun in life. Life's too short .

I think this camera is sooo cool. I am a huge Gwen Stefani fan and a big fan of her clothing and purse line. I do not think she is selling out, it would be an honor to have my design and name on something like this. Gwen is a genius whose creativity needs to be available for purchase. I love all of my L.A.M.B. clothes and purses, I can't wait to buy more.

No one can blame Gwen for loving the awesome fashions from Japan. I think it's cool how she's inspired by them! This camera is really cute, unlike all the other boring silver and black ones. Definitely a good look to break the ice in the camera world.

Why does she have to say the perfect thing every single time? Do you think you would as well? Did it ever occur to you that she's a normal person with faults and makes *gasp* MISTAKES? Obviously not. You have no idea what it would be like to have all the opportunities she's had or her power, so please just quit making judgements on the few things you do see and probably misconstrue.
I've seen her in real life, she is a REALLY and truly down to earth, normal person. Best described as "an ordinary girl who's done extraordinary things." As for "selling out" which is a extremely lame and senseless term, she has NEVER done anything that she's not had fun with or cared about. Everything has been a reflection of herself, whether you like it or not, and it's her life, why should she live by your standards or what you like?
The camera's hot, she's obviously very into Harajuku...I have to say I'm not really digging it but it's her thing, it's her life.
And PS, her lyrics are not inane (excluding the dance side project LAMB, which she herself has described as 'good fluff' =)) but if you listen to the music or read the lyrics from Return of Saturn, you'll be proven wrong.

I don't know if anyone noticed this but in the video for "What You Waiting For", they used a HP camera, so I guess the HP team already tagged her before the release of LAMB. Just a little info to help folks deduce another theory/speculation/doctrine on whether Gwen is a marketing whore or not.

as for me I don't want the cameras or the clothes it's a good idea to design a camer that looks a bit different. These days peoples mobile phones have cases and all this other customizing shit, so whats wrong with designing a digital camera like that?

to jd and zac, for your information jd, no maybe Gwen didn't sit and draw this picture herself but it was the artist who did the artwork on the inside of Gwen's album cover. Not some guy in a cubicle who bought rights to use her name. And zac, Gwen doesn't sell out. She has been asked repeatedly to be the face of cosmetics, or for soda ads. She wont do it just to sell something. She did this for her fans who love her. It has to be something she is passionate about, it's no different than any other designer. It's fine to have your own opinion, just make sure you have your facts straight.

I love this camera as well!!! Shout out to all the Gwen supporters out there, I agree, she's a great role model with funky fresh class and style!! There are times when I feel like I'm a fly being drawn to a bugzapper- I may know it's strange but I'm somehow drawn to it. I don't like Gwen's new music (Tragic Kingdom is still the best by far) and there are moments when I feel that she has sold herself out, but then there's something that catches my eye, like the digital camera she showed on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Yeah, when it boils down to it, I'm a sucker for stuff like that, and though Gwen's not the same she used to be, it's still amazing to see the wide range of fanbase she's managed to take hold to. Anaheim still loves her, and there will be millions more who will love her still.
Uhh does anyone else realize that this camera is just plain ugly? Like, put the whole "you're just a hater" line on hold and just look at that camera. It's ugly! I used to like Gwen Stefani when she did Tragic Kingdom. Now, though, I absolutely can't stand her or her music. It seems really pathetic the way she acts like she is 18- doing stupid high school videos like Holla Back. Also she definately got breast implants and lost too much weight. She seems way too insecure and desperate to me.
