KIST & South Korea's latest smartest robot
Oh those South Koreans have done it now! They've got a robot they've claimed is the world's smartest, not only because it communicates wirelessly to controller servers, has visual and kinetic sensors, and talks to its human masters, but because it learns and mimics our behavior by observation (but can it multiply 9,999,999,999,999,999 by 99,999,999,998,999,999?). You know, it's very true, this robot is rather excellent at copying something: the QRIO. Okay, fine, KIST gets bonus makeup points for saying the robot looks "like a small teenager wearing a blue and grey space suit" at its launch.

The question is, why just two legs? aren't 3, 4 or 6 legs more stable?
maybe it's smart but looks like an idiot.

Looks like upcoming American Idol contestants
I've seen demos of this robot, not bad really, it matches the qualities of QRIO or even better. Wayne Chiang, you're right about robots with more legs, that'd be way more stable. There's no rule saying that robots need 2 legs like fragile humans. But, what the point is in making these humanoid robots, we ultimately want to make a robot that ensembles us in every aspect, including intelligence (although that could be miles down the track).
damn Ali G is some funny stuff!
does this NOT look like ASIMO?
how hard will it be to make a big robot move on 3 legs? u can take human and animal models, but 3 will never work... i like to see they make some on 4 though, for the sheer carrying capacity
but these r just toys anyway
