President Bush: iPod user
Half of you are going to be stoked and half of you are going to be outraged to discover that George W. Bush is an
iPod owner (we're talking about Apple peeps versus non-Apple peeps, what'd you think we were referring to?). We know
you can't see his face in that photo, so you're going to have to take it on faith that's him, or at least check out the
photo essay by Christopher Morris about the Prez that we link to below.
[Thanks, Stephen]

I love it how everyone seems to forget that their candidate, John Kery, Voted to use force in Iraq. He also had a speech a year earlier where he was convinced that Saddaam had Weapons of mass destruction and needed to be stopped. This was the same belief by democratic icon Bill Clinton.
The CIA and George Tenet (a Clinton appointee) said the case against Saddaam was a slam dunk.
So please stop all your whining. Your guy lost get over it and please stop trying to rewrite recent history with your incessant blathering and Michael Moore logic.
Now would you like some sugar with your cup of STFU? I know your tears drops are making it a little salty.
I think your, let's say, voting behaviour is not about (lack of) education. Of course, it has something to do with it, but how about the influence of the media. You all can't blame the people that voted for Bush for watching Fox News. The whole thing with the american media is that they're not objective anymore.
Let me give you an example:
I live in the Netherlands and a week ago I saw something weird on tv. Our 8 o'clock news had an item about something Fox News had said. Fox News had stated in one of their news bulletins that in Groningen (A city in the north of the Netherlands) doctors were euthanising babies if they would only miss a finger. They also said that Holland was one big network of terrorism. And last but not least they claimed that at least 50% of the dutch youth was using drugs. They put some "convincing" views with it (a lot of arabic people, junks using drugs in Amsterdam etc etc.)
Now, people who don't want to know the truth, don't read any further because I'm going to tell all of you the truth.
First of all, the doctors in Groningen only euthanise babies when they know that these babies will suffer from great pain the rest of their lives, that they will not be able to live their lives as we all do and when they know they can't do anything about it. Every year they euthanise about 10 babies.
Then about the terrorists in Holland: yes, of course, there are terrorists in Holland. But can you name me a western-european country where no terrorists are staying? Recently a director named Theo van Gogh was killed by a terrorist (I assume you've heard about it, it was on your news too. For the ones that haven't: he was a director not afraid to give his opinion about muslims...). Since then the dutch police has arrested about 20 people SUSPECTED of terrorist activities. For the rest, I haven't seen any terrorist attack. No, Holland is NOT one big terrorist network.
Then about the drugs use in Holland. I can tell you I'm 17 and I would be surprised if only one classmate is a drugaddict. Yeah sure, some people have tried weed once but they're not addicts. I bet that you have more young drugaddicts than here in the Netherlands (if you look at percentages of course).
I'll give you another example: How about Armstrong Williams. He received $240.000 to talk good about the 'No child left behind' law Bush had introduced, whitout telling his readers that he received money to do so. And how about the report of the GAO about the news item about dangers of marihuana that was funded by the government?
Believe me, your television is turning into one big propaganda machine. I would advise you all not to trust you media anymore and to just read the press messages of foreign press bureaus and to check reliable sources on the internet. Because the government interfering with the broadcasts on your television, that's not democracy!
My comment is getting too long right now... Last I will give you my opinion about the war in Iraq. Your country attacked Iraq because they were convinced that they had WMD's. The day before yesterday the inspectors anounced that they have stopped looking for WMD's. Iraq doesn't have WMD's and ran out in 1991. So Bush invaded Iraq with false reasons and that is not right. But they invaded them and captured Saddam Hussein. Right now they are trying to make Iraq a democracy and they are at least finishing their jobs. That is the only good thing about this war. However, I do think that they must realise it took us about 100 years to become a democracy as we know right now and they can not make Iraq a democracy in one year.
Oh and don't say that our country supported you guys. Our Prime-Minister and the people in his coallition are complete idiots and PM Balkenende is a Bush-ass-kisser. Did you see Balkenende in the White House when he was going to have breakfast with Bush? OMFG, I was so ashamed at that moment, and so was the rest of the Netherlands.
groetjes uit Nederland.
p.s. Funny how an iPod can lead to such a discussion. As a mather of fact I am an iPod user and I like it a lot ^_^. And my father bought it for me in the US, they are so much cheaper over there. In holland you pay about 350-400 euros for it =S...
I wonder where he steals his music from?
Amen JB. I can't wait to get out of this cess pool. I can't believe the irony in Bush using an iPod. Now I know what to recommend to the dumbasses here that can't figure out simple mathematics, iPod. Heck, if someone who can't speak English correctly, get decent grades in College, and can't interpret intelligence reports can use it, why can't someone with severe mental retardation? Oh, and I heard that Tiger OS was going to be made for capitalist dumbasses like Bush, I guess the simple UI is really handy when you have an IQ of 50. Don't worry, if you get angry about this post because it has such a strong leftwing bias, try not to reply with too much irony or hypocrisy(I know, it might be a challenge).
Oh, yeah, I think he's listening to an audiobook because he can't read.
What's to reply to? Your post is purely an attack based not on facts, but rather your complete personal bias. Feel free to whine at your pleasure, it doesn't change the fact that the more intelligent people in the country see through that transparent facade and see a whiner for what he truely is.
hehehe saw the inauguration of Bush today... He was talking about freedom with the US representing that freedom in the rest of the world and all that other blahing.
As he was saying that the dutch television showed a whole bunch of police officers arresting 2 anti-Bush demonstrants.
Talking about freedom of speech...
I see you didn't provide any links to the story. For all you know, they weren't arrested for expressing their views. There is such a thing as inciting a riot, trespassing, menacing, etc. They could have been arrested for any number of reasons, but then again why let some pesky facts get in the way of a good partisan rant huh?
It were just Demonstrants holding some banners... but it's true that I don't know wether they were misbehaving or something. It just looked funny and I was lmao when I saw it, it only confirmed the USA's hypocracy to me and that's why I told it.
And about the "pesky facts": are you referring to my other comment? because there's proof of that... I can give you links to dutch pages, but that would be difficult to understand for you guys =) And btw, the whole Armstrong William thingy was a big schandal in the US...
No, I believe you when you said it aired on Dutch television. The "pesky facts" comment was aimed at the details of why they were arrested, to which we don't know.
Of course the Armstrong WIlliams thing was a scandal, but the U.S. has, in every administration, had budgets designated toward promoting certain domestic agendas to the public. Williams screwed up by inserting it into his op-ed columns and commentary show, instead of doing it in commercial advertisements, where the viewer can discern the difference between news and promotion.
I think we can all agree that this issue pales in comparison to the whole Dan Rather falsified documents story. That was a true embarassment for the news media.
It's a frggin iPod people. I like it how all of you manage to make it into a debate.
If Bush uses an iPod means you can't use one, think of it this way...Bush uses the toilet too.
hes using the ipod to relax after several hours of pondering "manifest density"

Kerry does indeed use a Powerbook - but I tend to be wary of tech-snob Apple users on this - Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove are both vocal Apple fans.
that is the funnies thing.. that picture after george's now-famous bike accident fiasco!
well i dont see the big deal, are you guys that you are suprised at the fact that bush knows how to operate an ipod?
Even though my intellect clearly states "it's just a piece of equipment, what the hell does it matter?" Something inside me has a ever so slight worsened view on my iPod now, silly isnt it?
