Tranquil T2e MCE2005 Media Center PC
Tranquil PC (a UK outfit) has a new Media Center PC called the
the T2e MCE2005 that runs on
Windows XP Media
Center Edition 2005, uses a low power VIA 1.2 GHz CPU, Serial ATA hard drives, and has a heat pipe system (similar
to what Shuttle uses in their XPCs) to create a quiet home theater PC that can sit next to your TV without driving you
nuts with obnoxious whirring fans. The T2e also has optical audio out, a slot loading DVD drive, a GeForce 128MB FX5200
graphics card, and comes with 512MB of DDR266 RAM.
[Thanks, Stefan]

"The T2.e/MCE2005 does not support WMV (Hi Def) playback
The T2.e/MCE2005 does not support dual tuners"
Too expensive at around $1,500 US to not support those two needed features...
-Dennis-
the original M2 based T2e can't use two tuners, but the later SP based T2e does have dual tuners (2 slots available) - pls review our web site for details
thank you - Tranquil PC
How about just give us a box like the IMac mini(especially design wise, it should be an enjoyment in the living room not an embarassment), with 1 GB Memory, 100 GB HD, rest can stay as it is :)
Small, silent, not more than 1000$ (what is it at the end, a bit of plastic, a bit of HD, a bit of memory, a bit of graphic card, a bit of cpu, a bit of software).
Attn: all Mac fanboys...
Stay out of any discussion regards MCE. MacMini is not design as an MCE unit (not that it can't, hell my VCR can do that if I can even argue with y'all).
Now, back to the topic....
