CDMA BlackBerry 7250 for Verizon
Verizon is going to start carrying another new CDMA BlackBerry
later this month, the 7250. This one contains pretty much the same feature set as the
BlackBerry 7750 we covered a few months ago (like 32MB of
flash memory and 4MB of SRAM), but the 7250 has a smaller screen, weighs a bit less, and adds Bluetooth to the mix.

It's about time RIM came out with a CDMA handheld that is not a piece of garbage. The 77xx series has a bigger screen but if you wanted to put any 3rd party software on it, don't bother because the processor is a dog.
Another handset coming out soon is the 7100g.
Was this supposed to be the EV-DO model engadget reported on late last year?
Verizon offering bluetooth. HA! what a joke... I was fooled with the v710, but not again... Buyer beware... Verizon takes away most of the cool Bluetooth functionality one would expect from a modern day handset.
Actually, the 7750 has only 14MB flash and 2 MB SRAM, so the 7250 is significantly more powerful.
BlueTooth on all Blackberry handsets is for voice only.

A very good phone, good replacement to the 7750 which was a dog. Very fast menus, web surfing is pretty fast. Screen is high quality, and very bright. It's actually not that big when holding it in my hands. Bluetooth works great for headset
I just got the 7250 VWZ and I LOVE it. I hated the Treo 600, but the BB is terrific. Phone is top notch (though I do miss speaker phone mode) and the email is very intuitive.
2 gripes.
- The holster is nearly impossible to work single handed - I cant get the BB out in time to answer call.
- My old BT200 Jabra headset (that went into hibernation when I went to VWZ from ATT a year ago) crashes my BB7250 as soon as they "mate". Every time i try to place, rec or even go off hook with the headset I crash the phone - it totally dies and restarts itself.
But other than that - LOVE this new BB
Can you buy a cradle for the Blackberry 7250? Verizon says no?

I have the Treo 600 but need Corporate email access via Outlook and thus need to switch to BB. Problem is, I use the heck out of my speakerphone and it really pisses me off that, as usual, Verizon is half a step behind the curve here. It took forever for them to GET the Treo 600 and then once I popped down the $550 for it, Treo comes out with the much-better 650, which VZ will probably get around to later this year, if that. Regardless, who knows when they'll get it right and offer the 7520 - like Nextel does for $49, versus $399 for VZ's 7250. Except if you travel a lot, Nextel for voice is prolly not so good. I'd love to hear from others that travel throughout the U.S. and have Nextel for voice and actually LIKE it - i.e. no dropped calls and such.
Also, does anyone use the new Motorola HF800 Bluetooth Speakerphone? How is it?

Looking for an unlock kit for a Blackberry 7100g from Cingular so I can take it to T-Mobile. Any suggestions?
Cheers,
LD
All of the overseas 7100g are unlocked like the ones from Hong Kong and Singapore. I also do believe that Bongowireless.com will unlock your Blackberry.
When is Verizon, et.al going to stop crippling Bluetooth? I'm quite sick of this oligarchy telling us which phones we must use and how we will use them.
Did you find an unlock kit? I have the same request?
Any suggestions about buying a 7250 without a contract? Checked ebay, but maybe someone knows another source/s? Thanks!
I've heard Cingular is the only one that will provide email access on the blackberry? Is this true?
Sorry, I'm talking about email access overseas in England and Tel Aviv?
i like the phone, but can use it with sprin
