CyberGear's Expressions Digital Radio is/is not an iPod mini knockoff
You know full well we can resist an iPod knock-off, especially the ones that aren't actually even MP3 players. Well, if you can believe it, CyberGear's Expressions Digital Radio is even more janktastic than that iZon radio we spotted at CES—though this one comes with plenty of stickers and glittery crap that'll hopefully make you feel a little better about not having a real iPod mini. Click for a closer look.

If anything, I'd feel sorry for the poor sucker who buys this thinking he or she will be popular, only to have the entire playground turn on him or her, causing thousands of dollars worth of psychiatric care in the future.
Hmm... maybe the psychiatrists made this thing to ensure they'd get a steady stream of customers in the future. Nothing beats good ol' planning ahead, eh.
is that a whole generation of apple laywers i hear stomping?
wow i thought the ds was the most useless thing ever
ohhhhhhhhhhh snap
Gotta love the irony found on the packaging: "All you need is... creativity".
"all you need is your creativity!"
well apparently the creators didnt use their creativity. OH WELL ITS SHAPED LIKE AN IPOD AND LOOKS LIKE ONE LETS GO AHEAD. PEOPLE WILL BUY OUR PRODUCT BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE A POPULAR GADGET FROM A KICK ASS COMPANY THAT CAN KICK EVERYONES ASSES.
WHERE CAN I GET ONE! I HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS THAT WOULD LOVE TO BE LIKE DADDY WITH ONE OF THESE THINGS!
Aw, janktastic? My poor friend with the unfortunate surname of Janke.
Anyone saying Apple should sue doesn't get it. When you go to any toy store and see toy cell phones, they are all based on cool/popular models. It's a sign of brand recognition.
Having the iPod mini honored this way is a great testatment to the strength of the iPod brand in the world. Consider it a sign of victory.
your lack of reading comprehension is disturbing, nobody said apple -should- sue, but we know what lawyers are like, and we also know what apple lawyers are capable of
CUTE! ^_^
again, where do we get these things? lisafrank.com? need to know!
Very poor taste.
I wanna see a case mod where someone builds their iPod into one of these babies. Now THAT would be cool. In a kitschy kinda way.
So, when will ipod Barbie hit the shelves?
You know, if you had an itrip mini and two of these, two people could listen to the same thing from an ipod mini at once! Thus making it...uhh...somewhat less janked!
You can be certain that Apple has patented the design of the iPod mini. That will prevent any company from selling any product that bears the same ornamental appearance as the iPod mini. See http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/design/definition.html
It is very likely that the addition of the frame around the display makes this copy substantially different enough from any design patent which apple may hold. A design patent is a relatively narrow form of protection, and is pretty simple to circumvent.
