Sony's NW-E103, NW-E105, and NW-E107 disc-shaped MP3 players
It still feels a little weird to say "MP3 player" after "Sony", but so far so good, right? They've got three new
flash players due out this spring along with that NW-E505
we're so stoked on; the E100 series should come in the same small, circular form factor, but varying colors. The
NW-E103, W-E105, NW-E107 come in 256/512/1GB sizes (respectively), and support WMA, WAV, MP3, and, of course, ATRAC3,
as well as having a 1-line backlit display (meh), and running up to 70 hours of playback on a single AAA.

wma!!! Is this the first sony device to ever support wma (not including pc's of course). I think this is a very good sign for sony, first mp3, then wma!!! If they would just make that slick Sony stick compatible with wma, and allow their customers use windows media player, (and price the thing realistically of course), I think they will really have a chance to take some market share.
(A little Macy Gray dancing to one of these players wouldn't hurt either)
if sony want to take a serious crack at the ipon market they need
a)to make mp3 players that support memory sticks
b)provide and enable both bluetooth handfree headset and bluetooth headphones
c)get serious about capacity (20-40gig inbuilt plus memory stick slot)
all in one machine. its not like its not possible or the technology's not there.
would also be a good idea to start using MTI's Mobion fuel cell for portabale electronics.
This is not even considering the scope for PDA-phone integration, inbuilt camera's etc.

256=90$
512=100$
1GB=150$
Great Prices
I've never heard of a flash player that went over 1 Gig...
the mem stick idea would be a bonus... as would the bluetooth
Then again, I'll take one of these babies over an Ipod anyday. My friend has had enough problems with it for the both of us ~_~
Does not work under Linux fully. I can be wrong, of course - in this case please verify and post an appropriate comment. AS FAR AS I KNOW it works as USB Disk Drive well, but the tracks' format is proprietary. The mp3s cannot be simply added by copying.
Well, it's useless for Linux users so far. Except to be put on rail only and ironed by an engine. No matter if electrical, internal-combustion or steam.
I'm using Linux.Please, could you make a driver or software for Atrac3 under this OS? I can't use my NW-E103 ...
