I own a 2005 BMW x5 and purchased a compatible
Motorola V551 for Bluetooth easy use.
The dealer had to install the Bluetooth module whioch should have been installed from the factory. The conectivity worked however the voice activation did not. I was told it needed the updated softwear to allow voice activation.
After installation the voice commands fail to work therefore rendering the voice activation capabilities. the dealers service dept. Advised to use voice command "Telephone Menu".
