Sony PSP launch party coverage
In case you missed it, Engadget and Joystiq joined forces for
live coverage of Sony's PSP launch event that took place
here in NYC last night. Being able to witness the sale of the very first North American PSP was nice, but finally being
able to breathe the same air and walk the same ground as Carson Daly is what really made it all worthwhile.
P.S. - To the guy on the right, the Santa hat doesn't really wear so well in mid-March.

I really have no use for one of these. It's regardless interesting that all this hype is making me want one.

just to answer other people's question as to the location of this launch. It was at the Sony Style store at 550 Madison Ave (not 55 Madison as the story says)

so what's that round table everyone is huddled around? some sort of battery recharging station i would assume?

Went by today as it's 3 blocks from my office. Needless to say, no round table, no PSP's, not even an empty display

Well it looks like like a trial station that even comes with the complimentary security card in the back.
