PassMe Nintendo DS passthrough cartridge
Now available for preorder is an assembled and tested PassMe chip for running and developing homebrew programs and
games on your Nintendo DS. The chips are hand-soldered, come assembled with the cartridge connector installed, and are
up for grabs for $20 plus $10 shipping to any country. You'll need a GameBoy Advance flash card and linker and one DS
game to start your tinkering once you receive the PassMe, reportedly shipping out at the end of next week. Of course
you'll be using this at your own risk, and should it cause any blindness or infertility in your DS, you can't go
whining to the PassMe creator, dig?

Let's hope this results in some DS titles we actually might WANT TO PLAY.

What you mean you don't enjoy playing retarded rehashes of old nintendo games?! say it aint so ;)
word. @ Dec 19th 2005 1:22AM
Try Yoshi Touch & Go. It is a great game; made me feel the same excitement I felt playing Mario Brothers on Nintendo for the first time. The innovative gameplay Nintendo has been promising/working towards starts here. I am really looking forward to what nobody can expect will develop...
Really looking forward to the homebrew stuff...

retarded rehashes of old nintendo games? try rehashes of online flash games. loved zoo keeper when it was called bejeweled!
RandyJohnson @ Dec 19th 2005 1:22AM
screw old rehashes of games, or even new games, lets see a web browser and e-mail client.
Mitch Incognito @ Dec 19th 2005 1:22AM
Yeah! Nintendo should stop rehashing old titles!
Sony doesn't take previous PS2 titles and put them on the PSP! They have games like Metal Gear, Twisted Metal, Tetris with music, Ridge Racer, Grand Turismo...
Wait a minute.

rehashes are cool to a certain point. super mario 64 is great. so is warioware, yoshis touch and go, etc. as long as they keep releasing good games then its all good. bu i agree with RandyJohnson about the web browser and email client. thatd be awesomely awesome.
Kamalot @ Dec 19th 2005 1:22AM
Someone just develop the web/email client using the freeware dev tools. Once you have a working version, take it to a publisher.
Everyone here is smart enough, just code it.
Mojo @ Dec 19th 2005 1:22AM
The time has come to stop rehashing old titties!
Noah @ Dec 19th 2005 1:22AM
Has anybody here ever tried to hand-solder surface-mount-devices (SMD's) like that picture illustrates? And why would they do it when hundreds of firms will do it cheap? ex:

This is from DsPassMe.com FAQ:
DS. PassMe DOES NOT work with Commercial dumps!
BUT: Last night a demo of the commercial game Polarium was released, initially for WifiMe users (wireless version of passme), but later a few guys managed to make a PassME version of it.
