"I finally got a new laptop with a lone USB 3.0 port. I'm now looking at getting a USB 3.0 hub with a power adapter so I can use both of my USB 3.0 hard drives at faster speeds. I've read lots of horror stories where some hubs either don't come with power adapters -- and as a consequence the portable drives don't work with them properly -- or they are designed poorly which results in USB 2.0 speeds. Or, the hard drives keep getting disconnected. Do your readers have any suggestions or experience using USB 3.0 hubs? Thanks!"
The Zen Neeon sucks!! I had researched the neeon as well as the ipod nano and thought the neeon was a better buy. Sound quality is not bad (better than ipods) but thats because you get better earphones than an ipods. If you buy good earphones an ipod will sound just as good. Not as many functions as an ipod and even though the shiny black face is nice it gets scratched very easily and within a week starts to look tacky. It is fairly easy to navigate and the fm radio and voice recorder are cool. Also more bang for your buck when you compare gigabyte for gigabyte against the ipod nano. Also you can rip cds directly to your neen without putting the songs on your computer. Finally it accepts wma files as well as mp3s while the nano only takes mp3s. But the neeon has one HUGE HUGE drawback. For no reason at all it freezes up on you and you have to hit a reset button to get it working again. It happened to me several times within the first few days of use and today it froze up on me at the gym and even hitting the reset button has not gotten it to work. I look up the warranty and it does have a one year warranty but I bet you it will take ages for a new one to be shipped to me if ever. I am pissed. The Neeon sucks. Beware stay away. im going to get an ipod nano today.
