HP finally gets a piece of the iPod photo

So it looks like whatever spat was going on between HP and Apple over HP's line of HP-branded iPods is over, because they're apparently slated to release a whole new mess of iPods in the next few weeks. No specifics were given, but the HP spokesperson said to expect a lineup "very similar… to what Apple has" — which, if you've been paying attention, more likely than not means they're finally going to bust out an HP-branded iPod photo, considering the only non-photo regular iPod Apple still sells is the lowly 20GB version. Does it also mean we'll see an HP iPod mini, or even an HP shuffle? We know you're on the edge of your seats. Stay tuned. It does shed light on why HP is suddenly adding not quite an iPod dock, but an iPod dock holder to its Pavilion line, although it seems like very strange timing considering Apple isn't selling docks standard with any of its iPod models anymore. Wouldn't it have been smarter to just make the thing an actual dock on top of the PC, instead of a place to stick the dock you had to go out of your way to order separately from Apple?
