The CellSensor EMF Detection Meter
The saddest thing about the CellSensor EMF Detection Meter is that we're probably paranoid enough about cellphone
radiation to buy a detector to measure it, but are so addicted to our Treo that even knowing exactly how much radiation
we're bathing ourselves in probably wouldn't be enough to cause us to change our ways. Anyway, you can actually use the
CellSensor to measure electromagnetic fields all around your house, they're just pitching it as a way to measure
cellphone emissions to cash in on all the hysteria over whether cellphones cause cancer or not (though they do engage
in a little asscovering and include a disclaimer about how cellphones have not yet been conclusively proven to be
hazardous to your health).

never mind that detector...what about if i was using my neihbors wifi are they able to detect me? does it pop up on screen saying that another user has logged on to the network? im not talking about detectors you pay for...does windows have a default detector or mac?
got one of these a while ago when I was looking to move, seemed like everyplace I liked (and could afford) had big powerlines nearby. The EMF detector works pretty well, its that probe thing you plug in, but I never got the cell sensor to work. Its nice if you do any electrical work too, you can just hold it near the lines and find out if they are live.
Aren't ghosts supposed to generate some kind of em field? Could use this to go ghost hunting.
EMF meters: yes, ghost hunters use these things (a 'natural' trifield meter, in particular, i think) and a well-known resource online can be found at: lessemf.com
hah nice number 3
No offense jem, but what does that have to do with anything? A bit random...
Just use their wifi. They shouldn't know. I use my neighbors all the time.
Awesom-o...*snicker*...A competent admin would know merely by the fact that an unknown MAC address shows up on the network. Sure, you could clone the MAC address easily, but that makes it doubly suspicious when the collision is detected. That, and the spurious traffic going through their router when they're not using it.
asscovering as in a

i understand Awesom-o but its not really the topic but when am i ever goin to ask a question on "question friday" on engadget
i just want to know that how it(cell sensor) works?
