Acer's on the short list for dual-core Pentium D boxes

It's hardly as if many people regard Acer as the gold standard in cutting edge computing, but after their keynote at the Taipei IDF they're now officially on the short list to of companies readying to release a system based on Intel's new dual-core Pentium D CPU. The chips were due to market in the second quarter, but now we've got a bit better idea of Intel's timeframe on this since Acer's claiming their box will be out by mid-May.
