The LG E910 / VX9800
Can't find any specs for this one anywhere, but check out these shots of the E910, LG's latest cellphone with a
QWERTY keyboard. This takes after
Motorola's A630 (at least, more than
it takes after LG's own F9100),
and apparently might also be known as the VX9800 outside of Asia. Anyone know any more about this phone?
[Thanks, KKSH]

The design makes it look like it competes with Nokia's 9000 series. It looks pretty big to me.

A few random specs, photos, and info here:

...looks like my speculation about a QWERTY keyboard was spot-on.
(PS: the headline has a typo - it's VX-9800, not VX-8900.)

I think it is only a matter of time before hybrid candybar/QWERTY clamshell design becomes standard issue

Richard-
This seems to be a slightly different handset than the one you have linked to. The keyboard layouts are different and it seems to have lost the "dual joypads" theme. Don't know if this one is aimed at the gaming market or not. I scanned LG's Chinese website and came up with a Googlishly translated statement that goes on about this handset being aimed at both the GSM and CDMA markets. Interesting if true. What OS do you put in this little beastie?

Also has a caption under one picture that states that it has EV-DO support mmm....tasty.

This clamshell design is the only way to go (so surprising how long it's taking to catch on with phones). Pretty boneheaded move to put the d-pad on the right side though. It pretty much guarantees it'll suck for games. If there's one thing cell phone companies suck at, it's d-pads.

Sure looks like ass compared to the 9300.

There's a rather closeup picture of the unit and it's feature list here:

Of course it's in Chinese, so if anyone can translate that it'd be great. If that "260000" TFT figure is indeed referring to the pixel count of the LCD screen there, this thing would be dang near VGA.
