If you've been wondering how long it was going to take Nintendo to cash in and introduce some new colors for the Nintendo DS (at least here in the States, that is — they already graced Japanese gamers with two new DS colors last month, with two more due out on Thursday), well, we have an answer for you: it's going to be two more months. The news just crossed the wires that they'll be releasing an "Electric Blue" version of the DS sometime in June.

This does not deserve to be front page news. Who cares about the colors. Heck, to be honest I don't really care about the system at all.

I would have preferred black or spice orange.
But what they really need is to get the third party games rolling out.
At least it looks better than silver.
sony and nintendo can make handhelds in all the colors of the rainbow, don't think I'll ever buy one. you can have my oldschool gameboy when you pry it from my decrepit, old, arthritis stricken hands!
Agree about this one (but I kind of want a psp :). The DS looks crap and it probable IS crap. Are there even any games out there that uses the dualscreen?

Somebody wake me up when this story gets interesting.
I wish the Nintendo would refocus their efforts toward DS games. Then I could justify coming up with excuse to the wife for getting this. As it is, its not even worth the effort to try and think of excuses.
Having played both systems and owning a PSP, I definately say that Nintendo is retarted. Why focus on colors when you have shitty games (::in agreement w/Roger::)? I have been very impressed w/ PSP's games so far and cant wait for Grand Theft Auto and GT4. Where is the innovation on DS, and don't say two screens b/c who cares? At least PSP looks cool and does more than play Mario Kart. DS aint got nuttin on PSP
I have to agree with the last two comments. Nintendo should take the guy who sits and color the DS and force him to make games instead. Maybe he can make the next blockbuster?
What I would like is a transperant DS.
I personaly think nintendo ds is one of the best handheld systems.It totally beats psp.
I agree with most of the other posts, who cares about the colour when I've only got 2 games for the damn thing. Come on Nintendo, I'm feeling very let down (again...).
