AIBO goes Daft Punk: robot dance competition!

We've just set every last intern to work on making Engadget the winners in Sony's new contest: program your AIBO gettin' down to Daft Punk's latest single "Technologic," send in some video footage to the aibo-does-daftpunk.com website, and if your robot dog is the top hot-footer you'll be headed to Japan for an all expenses paid trip. Not sure what you'll be doing when you get there — for all we know there's a whole underground circuit going on for this sort of thing (we'd actually be more surprised if there wasn't) and you'll be the newest star. You've got until June 12th May 23rd to get your techno-funk on, yo.

Both Apple and Sony licensed this song for a major ad campaign? Someone WILL submit som pop locking Aibo's....That's for sure.

Wow Sony. You are SO creative. Apple selects a song for an iPod campaign, and since we're not in football season and all the networks use the iPod song in their highlight reels, Sony makes a contest about it. Is Sony even trying anymore?

It also should be noted that the contest is only for EU folks....the US AIBO owners cannot enter.
