Nintendo Revolution concept logos leaked?
You know, at this point we don't need to regale you with all the usual disclaimers. These Nintendo Revolution
concept logos could be legit, they could be pure fiction. The point, people, is this: they're out there. And we thought
you'd want to see 'em.

it's ok, i like the metallic.. looks 'mature'
verbatim @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
It's only on page three, so i'm assuming that there are many other logos.
Still, it looks cool.
E. Marrs @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I like these logos. It looks like it is written in mercury, with someone just doing the outlining with their finger or a stick. I do not like the one that is similar to the GC logo. the gc one was nice, but I would like to see something new (but the gc logo was pretty much the same as the n64...)
Scott @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Nintendo? Who's that?
Spartan-146 @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I'm with >>2, there's probably more pages to it... Seeing as they're probably going to show Revo at E3, this is kinda a moot point, E3 starts today, so even if there's only a logo there, this was kinda unneccesary... *sits on his ass waiting for E3 insider to update*
Raian @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
These have to be fake- they seem like cheap gamecube knock-offs using lame fonts.
koz @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I would guess the title CONCEPTS on the top of those pages pretty much mean, um, these are conceptual logos from a design firm? Just going out on a limb here....

Some guy trying to hold his pee. That's what it looks like. PS3RULEZ NINENTO AND MICROSOFT SUCK I DEFINE MY LIFE BASED ON MY ADORATION OF THE CORPORATE PARENT OF A GAME CONSOLE

This is from Yahoo! News:
Nintendo's new console, code-named Revolution, will be a sleek box about as big as a stack of three DVD containers, said Reggie Fils-Aime, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America.
Revolution will play DVDs as well as older GameCube games, and a range of color options are being explored, he said.
"It's the most industrial design we have ever done," Fils-Aime said.

Good going, Jeff. Way to regulate. I can't tell you how much I love every forum turning into a semantic debate.
Alex @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
#8: Those are the press conferences that are tomorrow. Today are Sony and Microsoft conferences where they show a bunch of videos and demonstrate their new products to an audience. Nintendo's conference is tomorrow.
Kristian @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Fake or not, those logos do look good.
BP @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Hmm it looks alot like the headset in that fake video
Randall @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I know its fake, since revolution is the CODE NAME. Unless they've changed it, i'm not currently playing the nintendo dolphin.
Just remember that its the code name.
knot_u @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM

MixingMaster3000 @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Well, i'm gussing that logo was designed by Macromedia then! Especially the bottom two! If you have no idea of what i'm talking about goto www.macromedia.com, there you'll see. It is just like a logo for a macromedia program.
Reid @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I could have made that "logo" in Adobe Illustrator. Easily in fact.
knot_u @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM

Dave @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
#7 Go check out joystiq some time.
I like it but yeah I sure there is lots more and that this is just a tiny piece
Kris @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
God I hope not...
creamofcow @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Er, it doesn't look like the Rusty logo, the mark on both just happens to be capital a R, no similarities otherwise.
Reid, well sure, every logo in the world can be made in Illustrator, doesn't mean you're going to get the job or can conceptualize without copying.
Andrei @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I just don't like it... it looks like it's made with PaintShopPro 4 or something.
benjiprice @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Professional logos *are* almost always made in illustrator or freehand, and final versions can look simple and even crappy. So those conditions don't negate the possibility that one of those in fact the logo.
But I do think that nintendo has better taste, and that although these two might well have been amongst the thousands those proposed to nintendo, they probably chose something a lot better.
Charles @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
There's nothing like a leak of a new and anticipated product to excite the kiddies. Leaks can be more enjoyable, or at least generate more talk, than official press releases sometimes (or not). I wonder if Nintendo leaked it on purpose, or allowed and/or encouraged it to get out. Microsoft just officially announced its 360 - this might be Nintendo's way of reminding people they're still in the game.
Narizzle @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
Nintendo is slipping because of those who read engadget but the millions of normal people who nothing about graphics capabilties, advancements or inovations, but who care about the logo and "coolness" of the system. So shut the fuck up, nintendo is still a better company despite sales...
vivek @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
i dunno if this has been posted but it looks kinda sweet... but doesnt fit the concept posted here

wonder how difficult that touch pad will be -- considering i have been using digital pads since i was 9 =P
Justice @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
It's a little known fact that the letters in Playstation can be rearranged to spell "Anal spit toy."
El_Maestro @ Dec 19th 2005 1:21AM
I personally find speculation worthless. I mean, even the images of the PS3 on gamespot ( http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/screenindex_6124681.html ) come with a caption "design and specs. subject to change without notice." Don't get me wrong- I love speculation as much as the next guy. But the best way to find out for sure is to wait.
Great logos btw... whoever designed 'em ;)
