Portable Heads-Up-Display (HUD)
If 12-inches of iBod is your thang, then we may have
the product for you. Today Sunyang DNT of Korea demonstrated a portable Heads-Up-Display (HUD) prototype that projects
a 12 to 13-inch virtual image from "screens of mobile phones,
PMP and
DMB phones utilizing optical lens." Huh? Not sure if
this means it will only work with phones or also includes PMPs, however they might define that. We'll know in September
when a hopefully re-designed (like a Speed Racer helmet, please) product hits the shelves — in Korea only,
likely.

Could be cool, but I believe you misspelled 'HUD.'
No, HUD is correct.
HMD is helmet mounted display.
HUD is Head Up Display.
HUD's don't mount on the head they mount in the "unit".
The work is used mostly for "HUD's" in aircraft where the virtual image is reflected off a combiner mounted in front of the pilots face
:)
HUD ARE NOT NEW, PORTABLE UNITS MAY BE BUT HUD WERE AVAILIBLE ON CERTAIN GM CARS IN THE LATE 90 EARLY 2000'S
Correct, HUD are not new they´ve been used in military aircrafts from 40+ years, the news here is that they are small enough to be portable, that´s cool.
