Navigaze software brings gesture recognition to PCs
We may spend a lot of time staring at our computer display each
day, but the computer couldn't care less; looking at the screen is strictly a one-way experience. That could change if
a program called Navigaze, developed by developer Cybernet Systems, catches on. Navigaze, a free download for Windows
PCs, turns any compatible webcam into an input device, letting you control your PC with head movements and eye blinks.
Cybernet — which has produced gesture-based software for everyone from TV weathermen to gamers — sees Navigaze as a
tool to allow handicapped individuals to use PCs.

It would be a bit like using the force. :-p
This will give new meaning to repetitive stress injuries and nervous tics.
This all sounds a bit stressful. Good for some applications I suppose, but depending on how advanced this gets...along with the other guy's theory computers will have emotions etc. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to be cracking one off in front of something that knew what i was doing.
"Slow down or you'll damage your tissue"
"Would you like me to talk dirty?"
Or when you get annoyed it could take offense. I know i've hit my computer a fair few times and given it the finger. It'd be pretty bad if it took offense and switched itself off or started deleting random files.
"I've had enough of your crap, take this, bitch!"
"If you talk to me like that I'll email the RSPCPC's!"
Cool. It seems to allow you to put all your icons on your desktop, neatly arranged on the left. What gesture do you have to use to get them back where you'd put them before ?
didn't know it was april fools day today ! anyway they fooled me and now i have a strained neck .. the cursor is as adamant in not-moving as always .. maybe the force is weak with me ...
anyway gotta go get a lawyer to sue these neck wrecking maniacs whose product doesn't work !!
has anyone got it working ???
