UniXpress USB Port Replicator provides VGA over USB
If your laptop has a USB port but no VGA output — or if you want to run two external displays — there's another option out there, in addition to the much-discussed (and much-dissed) Tritton SEE2 USB 2.0 adapter. The $199 UniXpress USB Port Replicator from Addlogix is a dock for laptops that connects via a single USB port, and provides VGA output at 1280 x 1024, in addition to Ethernet, audio input and output, and five additional USB ports (it also works as a KVM switch if you connect a second PC — but doesn't include a fish-scaler or vegetable peeler). Addlogix claims that their patent-pending graphics engine allows jitter-free DVD playback on the external monitor. We'll have to see it to believe it; with all the ports on this thing occupied, it sounds like you'll have one busy bus, and we can't imagine it not hitting some speed bumps.

That'd be nice for adding a 2nd monitor to a pc. Anyone know if there's a standalone product out there that'll do the same without raping my wallet?
Targus has something similar to this:

It's a bit cheaper (can be found for as low as $120ish), but I don't think it has the KVM features or the mysti-magical graphics engine stuff.
The Targus one was a complete waste, graphics could not keep up. Returned within 6 hours. If this works it would certainly be worth the 2 bills. I am waiting for comments and reviews because the Targus left me with so little faith in the single USB docking solution.
If Targus ( Samsonite? ) product could keep up with the graphics, it would have been worth keeping but mine went back without hesitation & I'm holding out for something that can do the job like this.
Does this work for a PSP?
Ah good to know thanks!
I'd been debating whether or not to pick one up for my fiance.
Now I don't have to waste my time with it.
^_^
I have that. No joke.
But the real question is, does it have a VGA input? Now that would garner some attention if you could use the LCD of an old laptop for another computer (or even hoop your consoles to a laptop monitor via VGA).
This would be truly incredible for use with the PSP.. wow... hacks, anyone?
I just brought home the Targus Universal Notebook Docking Station (with video); it does not support the necessary resolution for my 19" flat-screen. It only supports up to 1024 x 768 (16 bit). Does the Kennsington support 32 bit?
