Tritton's 5.1 headphones
Well these sure are a lot less goofy looking than some
surround sound headphones we've seen. Tritton says these'll give you "true" 5.1 sound, not a simulated effect,
thanks to the eight speakers jammed in next to your ears. And as you can tell from the microphone and totally zoned out
headphone model, they're aiming these mostly at gamers, athough Tritton also says they're perfect for Internet calling
(well, maybe if you want to pretend you're talking to God). Retail price is $74 and it looks like they're Windows
compatible only.

Whoa, I thought that was a mannequin for a second there until I saw the mustache. ONE WORD: SUNLIGHT Otherwise, the headphones don't look too bad but I can't really see their calling to be a VOIP solution.

That's the creepiest bald man since Jeff Gannon. The picture, it blinds.
These are the current 5.1 headphones that I'm using. So far I've tried to the two other decent 5.1 headphones: Kinyo KY-100 and the LTB "true" 5.1 sound.
The Kinyo KY-100 is analog but it comes with its own amp. There IS a hiss and it DOES get annoying. You can't tell when there is sound (obviously) coming out of the headphones but when there is a low volume its evident. And don't think about using them as 5.1 headphones the rear speakers are very very faint. You'll be sure to get your ass knifed in Counter-strike.
LTB "true" 5.1: Great spacialization. Weak design and very weak USB sound card. At medium volumes the sound will begin to crackle and also if you are playing a game that has a lot of different soundscapes running at once, it'll begin to crackle louder and louder. Barely any bass.
I didn't try the Zalmans because I don't want to wear something that looks like a mind control device from Planet Zorbnak. Plus I hear there is no bass.
Triton? Well so far I have no complaints. Similar headphone design to the Kinyos (one thick wire going to the left cup) good spacialization, good bass and still works at high volumes, despite being USB. The front end volume control is handy too. So far, the best 5.1 headset I've tried.
Leave this f**** guy a lone already and write something useful you dorks!
If it won't work with gaming consoles, what's the point?
Never! Bald men are there for us to abuse!
It's the moustache coupled with the bald head that's out of place. Cowboys should wear hats.
8 speakers in each ear? Must be real good for hearing....
Paintist- where did you purchase these? Are you in the US?
I just bought a couple that looks exactly the same but they have a diffrent company behind them, Exsound, mine were called Shark.
They had a small box with volume mute and on/off switch wich you connected to USB and the had vibrators inside...
The price was amost exactly the same too...
The bald guy is wearing Medusa clones or should we call them OEM? Looks like another propietary sound card (To many components). Yes I have the LTB's none of the issues stated above. I think each user has thier own preferences.
Yo I have LTB's USB Model and it kicks A! It's built like a pair of Bose and the Audio is A+
How come so many companies are copying each other in the 5.1 game?
I had the LTBs and now I have the TRITONS. The LTBs are junk compared to these. These work with game consoles including CS source, the big guns make them vibrate.
WoW a headphone with NO EAX or 3d game support only ac97!!! No support phone number in or on box What a joke! Also a Fake 4th speaker(only a piezo vibrator) BTW Triton doesnt make em! They just stick a label on and change the barcode. LOL!
How can Tritton put thier name on such a lame set of headphones? I won't game without EAX on my Sound card. Why why would I settle for this on supposedly 5.1 headphones?
Well I purchased one set......and the front left speaker was dead....sent it in for exchange and the 2nd set had the right sub woofer speaker blown. Waiting for third set with my fingers crossed as they seem to sound pretty good in the other 7 speakers
