Altec Lansing's inMotion IM7 iPod speakers

No official announcement yet, but Larry Angell from iPodlounge managed to dig up a placeholder product page for the inMotion IM7, Altec Lansing's new portable iPod speakers (you may also recall the inMotion iM3 and iM4; they may have skipped over the iM5 and iM6). The speakers, which have also popped up in a couple of different tech mags, are a smidge expensive for a pair of portable iPod speakers — retail price will be $249.95 — but you get a built-in subwoofer, S-Video output (if you have an iPod photo), and the option of using either AC or battery power.

i bought 100 dollar altec lansings, the sound was okay, but the only 1up it had on my built in harmon kardon laptop speakers was that they were louder, and i dont need louder...

Looks OK, but pricey. I wonder how good the sound is. I have been disappointed with most ipod speakers.

i am absolutly dumbfounded with apples marketing, pure genius, go to LA and at least 1/2 the billboard on the highway are iPod, and its just a silloute and one word: iPod, every music accersory is branded "for use with iPod" even tho over 90% of em could be used with anything with a headphone jack, i think its because people think iPod is their only or best choice when it comes to a portable music player, the average person doesnt go to c|net to check out reveiws on all the other players, they assume iPod is the best, and it works pretty darn well for apple

Damn I bet this thing is hella loud... I only have a shuffle so this is useless for me but it looks pretty strong but also VEEEERY expensive... I'd rather get myself an iPod mini. My big bro has a mini with which he could use this but instead he uses an active cable to hook it up to his stereo which is undoubtebly smaller than this an probably just as strong. Oh well, have fun you people who buy it!! (But think about it well an if u change your mind, give ME the money ;) )

I too already have an ipod and don't need another! BTW you can get this for $200 shipped and it is really a wall charger, video out, and speakers.
