Ben & Jerry's Pint Lock keeps your ice cream safe
You know, if you're that worried about your roommates eating your food, you should probably just move out—or kick
them out.

This is great. Now they need one for standard sised booze bottles. Which makes more sense actually. But, this is a start!
The first thing i would do if spot one in my fridge - it's making a hole in a bottom , just for fun
This has been around for a while. I bought my mom one 3 years ago
Just because I can't open the lid, doesn't mean I can't open the container.
The first thing I would do if I spot one in my fridge is beat my roomates ass for having one
Oh, that was my idea but I never got a patent. Boy! was I dumb.
I should have called Invention Submission Corporation.......
Don't let this happen to you!!!! call now!!
If we have to lock up our icecream then the terrorists have already won.
That's true, we would never have seen something like this before 9/11.
this would come in handy at work... i guess, however, if you're really worried someone is going to eat some of your ice-cream then think about this... what's to stop them from taking the whole thing out of the fridge and walking away with it!?
Was invented by my boy DouG:

This device is useless against fat people - its a well known fact they will simply chew through the lock to get to the highly fatty and sugary substance within. Lardassus Americanus is a very cunning species.
Actually, I own one of these and it works great. It keeps my wife out of MY strawberry ice cream. She threatens to just cut the carton apart, but she hasn't yet. so far, so good!
What's to stop you from cutting the package in half ? Or simply cutting out the top or bottom as 'tata' suggested ?
As for a lock for the liquor bottle I've seen such around though I don't remember where.
Google it...
I don't get it. This looks like you can lift it right up and take it off. IE: It's attached to the ice cream container lid which lifts right off as well.
What they need to make the ice cream containers out of a thin aluminum much like a Pepsi can. People will be able to buy the lock and if you don't input the correct password the whole container shocks you. Of course this has ways around it as well (just wear gloves or pick the container up with another object), but it's more fun.
Dunno weather this is going to be bought for someone for Christmas or not. Still deciding.
If I want that damn ice-cream I'm not going to let some crap lock stop me ... I'm chopping right through that container and eatin' it ALL!
My Grandpa used to say, "locks keep honest people honest"
I'm 5'11", 250#, when I open a pint of Chunky Monkey, it's gone in seconds

Ya, it's cool and all the lock is tough, but the carton is made of thin cardboard. Then again, I suppose it would be a bit harder to explain a RIPPED OPEN CONTAINER to your friend, then it would be a few missing scoops.
But if you're still going to steal the ice cream, I suggest you take the WHOLE container and leave the remains of the container in some patsy's room. When in doubt, frame others!
this thing remind me of SP2 from M$
All that security packages, who gives a sh8t ?
A word of warning. After ordering a few of these, we found that that the locks all have the same combo, and there is no way to change them.
