Head-mounted surveillance cam packs 30GB HDD
We've wanted a camera that we could take everywhere to record
everything we see from our POV ever since we saw Edison Carter doing it back in the day. Of course, his rig was way too
bulky and cumbersome to really carry around for any length of time. Fortunately, now that we're living 20 minutes in
the future, all that has changed, and there are setups like the DoubleVision series from the U.K.'s Second Sight
Surveillance (not to mention other POV-cams from outfits like
Viosport). The DoubleVision Pro is particularly
sweet, combining a head-mounted camera with a pocket 30 GB HDD that can store as much as 46 hours of video. While
Second Sight markets the unit as a mobile surveillance device, we could easily see ourselves donning this and zapping
our raw footage up to Bigtime TV.
[Thanks, Marc]

it's amazing that no where on there site specifies the resolution on this camera, I wonder why?
Nice find but I guarantee this thing will not give you any where near the resolution you get on a standard DV CAM

The resolution of the current standard camera is 380tvl, if customers want a 450tvl they can request it as a special build. This resolution is suitable for gathering evidence. A camcorder's resolution is 500tvl. Double Vision is a short range mobile evidence gathering system with high quality video and audio.

headmounted cam systems have come a long way from the old hi-8 tape systems etc, my companys current headcam system uses a 525ex view at 0.01lux into a custum archos 4100 gig which is state-of-the-art its great in low light, currently all major police force in the uk are using our equipment, and we have just signed a massive supply contract but in about 3 week we have a brand new product the is going to blow any headcam system away for spec and price !! what this space....www.cylonsystems.com
