Samsung's SCH-M7000 Pocket PC Phone
Peep this new Sidekick-esque Windows Mobile-powered Pocket PC Phone from Samsung. We'll say straight up that we don't know much about the SCH-M7000, like when or if it might ever be released over here, but we do know that it's compatible with EV-DO, runs Windows Mobile 2003 SE, and has a 520MHz processor, WiFi, a 320 x 240 pixel, 262,000 color LCD touch screen, and an SD memory card slot.

Ugly qwerty keyboards... ¬¬
Looks more like a Windows Mobile powered Sidekick than a Sidekick-esque anything.
Can they really do a design that close and not get into any trouble?
That thing is sweet. I'm tired of reading here 50 times a day about stuff that will never come out in our country.
IANAL but I think you're right #2, at least for the USA:
Danger have US patent 6,636,419 which covers a handheld where the screen slides or spins away to uncover a keyboard.

Pop in a 10GB hard disk and a 24 hour battery and the train-crash looks might be forgivable.
why o' why is that running WM2003??
give me WM5 and i'll take it.
#5 Hopefully by the time, if ever, it will run WM5 when it comes to the US.
Please Cingular, pick this baby up. I'd be willing to convert from SE to Samsung for this phone, maybe...
That's a great idea. It's a combination between a Sidekick and Treo.
When are the new Treos being announced, anyway?
looks practical to me.
Ummmm... if it's EVDO-capable, then it's not going to be a Cingular phone. Verizon and Sprint, however, would be more than happy to carry it.
Yep - either verizon or Spring. OR just Korea. Simple as that.
keyboard seems to be too deep to press comfortable.
looks good but verizon's xv6600 is pretty much the same with a sliding keyboard as opposed to and flipping one.
I'm sure Danger would be willing to license patent rights if necessary, it's not like they're selling enough Sidekicks through T-mobile to retire. I've had 4 Sidekicks since they first were released and everytime I take it out everybody in the room has never seen anything like it...which clearly means nobody (outside this crowd) is even aware the thing exists. It's still one of the best solutions for using SSH remotely out there and there are a few mobile OS's that could learn a thing or two from the near-perfect multi-tasking on the Sidekick.

Me I think it pretty ugly and too big, but i'd surly be first in line to get one because it's pretty slick
Ok kan I ask....why did everyone assume this thing spins/flips open?? Did I miss where they wrote that?? Kause2me it looks as if it just slides up&down. (Ie flip ur sidekick/2 open then place ur 2index fingers on top of the screen& imagine pushin down) it looks2me that's how this phone will open/close. Which would mean it doesn't break Dangers ownship of "flip/spinning opening phones that reveal a keyboard. Anyway I would probaly buy it just kause it looks as if it'll be a 500+ priced phone which means not2many will have it
It looks like a nice phone but looks too much like a Sidekick 2 to really be original. It looks like a sidekick that someone took apart and put back together wrong.
Where can I go to buy the samsung M7000.Can someone help me find this phone? What do I need to do to buy it,and if so does sprint even have the capability to connect it for me with my sprint account?HELP PLEASE
