This isn't actually such a stupid idea. It could spawn a range of 'inconspicuous' covers for the shuffle making a little less obvious that you have one. Sure it has a plug going into it, but it's far less obvious than the standard apple headphones plugging into an obvious iPod (normal or mini).
It's geeky but yet strangely interesting. Why do people just insist on saying 'THAT IS THE DUMBEST IDEA EVER' or 'he's ugly'. Get with the program guys and be constructive. You're in pre-school :)
