Boynq USB-powered light
Doubtful anyone who needs (or more importantly, is willing to use) the Boynq D-Light USB-powered Lamp is going to look good embalmed in a pasty orange glow. But here you have it, another whacky addition to those USB gewgaws (look it up) that we obsess over. To be fair Boynq has a decent design team — 'cause it could sure get a lot worse. You should be able to track these down for about $13US.

Must. Have. Device.
I still think the modern day wall sockets should be replaced with USB ports. Move it into the future.
I'd take one.
Heck gimme three.
This is pretty cool. Especially if you have a laptop (like me) . A agree with #2's statement that wall sockets will be replaced with USB ports in the future (or at least that'd be cool) . Anyway that would complete and restrengthen the name Universal Serial Bus (USB) . Once again to get back to the relevant: I think this is a useful an funny gadget without slipping out of gadgetness.
The only interesting part of this device is using Tiger's new Command-Control-D over the word to find out what it meant: gewgaw |?g(y)o??g?oun (usu. gewgaws) a showy thing, esp. one that is useless or worthless.
No, No, give me an IP based power-over-ethernet light. Now I can turn all the lights on and off in my house with a Perl script.
orange lighting is actually very sexy, it's the color of a campfire and of "parking" under streetlights
i like it. but the usb light at bcoolgadgets.com is cheaper. at euro 8
I love its charming glow and the hip-but-homey lampshade, but has anyone else had the LED get dimmer and dimmer?
