PSP stuck pixel fixer?
To be honest with you, we're a little bit skeptical about this one, but apparently some folks are reporting success
with fixing the dead stuck pixels on their
PSPs using this method (some are reporting failures, too, so obviously YMMV). It's a video file derived from a DVD
Best Buy gives their customers to correct dead pixels on LCD TVs by flashing red, green and blue over and over again —
so theoretically this is supposed to work anywhere you might be afflicted with a stuck pixel. It runs on all
PSP firmware versions, and the advice is to let
it go for several hours or more, periodically checking with the white and black test screens to see if the stuck pixels
have come unstuck. Good luck, and let us know the results of your voodoo.
[Thanks, Ghazi]
P.S. It's worth mentioning that epileptics might want to give this flashing light trick a pass, mmkay? [Thanks, Justin and Large Juan]

where can i get this movie, i have 2 stuck pixels:( i need it lol someone email me it pls, dan2kx@gmail.com
boots dont need 2 replace it now :D coz sony r replacin it 4 free, gd boy sony, now sit!
Having stuck pixels donsn't make the PSP defective. The psp still works, it still plays games. I have a 2 or 3 stuck pixels, a dead pixel and some slight dentage in the front cover.
When in games it just disappears.
My brother has a 10 year old game gear with so many dead pixels ina large clump its stupid but you really don't notice them once you get playing.
You don't have the right to have a PSP, if you don't like it problem then don't buy one. I'd rather have the handheld of the century with it's screen problems than a perfect DS any day.
Just get playing and stop bloody whinging about dead pixels. Could you a screen better. NO so SHUT UP.
Go complain to sharp or Samsung, they make the screens. Sony put the psp together and ship it out. They've already gone to the lengths of replacing your PSP with dead pixels but at the end of the day it's a minor problem compared to the awesomeness of having a psp and being able to play ps2 quality games anywhere. Just play and forget about the dead pixels. I do.
How do you save the videos and put them on ur psp?
I had a psp and it developed 3 bright red dead pixels. I returned it. I got a new one and accidentally dropped it lol. Good thing I have a warranty:D! When I got my new one it had six ddead pixels right out of the case. Returned it. My newest one, I opened up the package and........six....dead....pixels! I've ran through 4 psps! I have to keep going back and forth to the mall to replace it! The pixel fixer doesn't seem to work yet but I hope it does! They've really gotta fix these things!
Alright! The pixel fixer does work! It remover one or two after about 24 hours! Unfortunately that's not enough as I have about 5 more. I'm leaving it on all night but I doubt it will do much. I'm just gonna have to return it. oh well!
I bought a PSP system from Toys R Ass, and it has a pixel which is either stuck or dead (I don't know the difference)anyway, they wouldn't allow a refund or even an exchange. This looks like it's a major problem for PSP customers because so many units seem to have this defect. Sony says that the product itself is not defective and the problem with the pixel(s) will not worsen, meaning if your PSP had 2 dead pixels when you bought it, it will allways only have 2 dead pixels, but why is Sony producing such low quality products, or should I say why are they buying such low quality screens, because it's not Sony who manufacture the LCD screens it's Hitachi, Sharp and Samsung. And my guess would be that Samsung screens are the shit ones.
SONY, YOU GUYS HAVE REALLY GONE DOWN HILL SINCE PS2, ALTHOUGH THE PS1 HAD LENS PROBLEMS, I WASN'T REALLY THAT PISSED OFF BECAUSE THE LENS WAS GOOD WHEN IT WAS NEW, IT JUST FAILED TO PERFORM AS WELL AFTER A FEW MONTHS.BUT THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. IF A PRODUCT IS FAULTY IN ANY WAY, SHOULDN'T THE CUSTOMER HAVE THE RIGHT FOR A REFUND OR EXCHANGE ATLEAST, BUT NO, AN EXCHANGE WOULD ONLY MEAN THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO OPEN ABOUT 10 PSP SEALED BOXES TO FIND ONE THAT MIGHT NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH THE LCD PIXELS, AND A REFUND WOULD MEAN THAT ONE MORE PSP WOULD HAVE TO GO BACK TO SONY, AND I BET 90% OF THE PSP SYSTEMS MADE ARE FAULTY TO SOME EXTENT, DUE TO SONY'S EVIL DOING. WHAT EVER SONY THINKS THEY WILL ACCOMPLISH BY THIS CRIMINAL ACT, WILL NOT WORK, EXCEPT IF THEY HATE THEMSELVES SO MUCH AND WANT EVERONE ELSE TO HATE THEM TOO.
SONY WAS ALWAYS A TOP BRAND IN ELECTRICAL AND DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT, BUT THEY HAVE SANK LOWER THAN AKAI OR TEAC NOW. I BET IF AKAI MADE THE PSP IT WOULD STILL BE BETTER.
WHERE DO I GET THIS PIXEL FIXER THING ?
DOES IT ACTUALLY FIX THE PIXELS OR JUST DAMAGE MORE OF THEM ?
Yeah, I got a psp, when I turn it on, I get 2 tiny little white pixels at the top, visible on darker backgrounds. I heard abotu this pixel fixer, and it seems promising, but when I download it, it only opens in realtime player, Quicktime doesn't recognize the file type.. even though its mp4.. and I'm new to this, so I dont know how to transfer the video onto my psp after download, can anyone help me out? I'm really bummed about this, since I can't return it. dave.riara@gmail.com if you have any suggestions for me please. I will check back, but if you guys know what this is, please help me out.. Thanks

HELLLLLLLLP! I don't get this crap about sum dead, burnt, stuck pixel S**t. But does any1 hav this so called magic video?Isure wanna see it.
Where can you download the movie for dead pixels
Where is the link to the download to remove stuck pixels, because I can't find any.
I just got one for christmas and am trying the video at the current time, but to the one saying play the game and get over it, 250(US) dollars is a lot to some people. So we the customer have a right to a perfect system or drop the price, the only reason i was mad when i got my stystem was because it costs so much, yet had imperfections (out of the box) what a joke. I like the system but Sony should have handled it better, my laptop screen is perfect, so why is the PSP screen so different. Blood h*ll play the games on your imperfect 250 dollar system plz...
Do you people not realize that these LCD screens have nearly a _million_ pixels? Now, if that isn't enough, each pixel is composed of _3_, completly independent parts. So we've got over two million parts, at least, that all have to work perfectly.
When Integrated Circuits were first mass-produced in huge amounts for things like CPU's starting in late 1970's/early 1980's, and going on to today, huge amounts of the chips were faulty. These had to be thrown away, because, unlike LCD screens, the slightest fault caused it to not work entirely.
Sure, you say, that's a good thing. 100% working, all the time. But guess how much computers cost back then? Thousands of dollars for the 'standard' computer.
The question is: Would you rather pay $200-$300 for a very, very slightly messed up PSP/LCD monitor, or $600 and up for a perfect one?
LCD monitors at this scale, especially being created in such large amounts, is a very new thing compared to IC's. Give them time. Like IC's, we will probably have this sorted out for the most parts within 10 to 20 years. Even TODAY, small amounts of integrated circuits are killed because of particles of dust smaller than one um - just for a note, your hair is between 18um and 180nm thick.
And if you don't like it how you get it, do whatever you want, but whining won't help -- Sony did you guys a favor.
I've got a few stuck pixels on my PSP. I'm running the "stuck pixel fixer video" now, and hopefully they will go away...
well im not sure how to tell the difference between a dead pixel and a stuck one. my problem is. i just got a psp for chritmas and i dont know what happened. maybe i didnt notice it at first but the is a section about as big as a quarter that are just a little bit darker that the rest. and when my deafault- blue psp wallpaper is on i can see it the most. but usually u cant see it. but if i stare at the dark spot (looks like a blob) i noticed 4 little black pixels. are them pixels stuck or dead? i was running the pixel fixer until i heard reprts of it rarely causing more dead pixels. so i shyed away from it.
I've heard that a black pixel is a dead pixel, while pixles that display only one colour is stuck... Am I correct?
