Yahoo doesn't buy Skype, but does buy DialPad
So far Yahoo hasn't scooped up Skype (at least not yet), but earlier today master scoopster Om Malik broke the story that they did just buy DialPad, an older VoIP provider that we'd pretty much completely forgotten about. Yahoo has confirmed the story, with their VP of Corporate Communications saying that they were looking for a "quick way to add PC2Phone and inbound calls."

Ah, I remember DialPad from back a few years ago when you could make unlimited calls PC-Phone for free - It was the perfect way to prank a 24hr Jack-in-the-box on the other side of the country at 3am.
awesome

Fyi, EVP Ops @ Vonage - Michael Tribolet used to be the COO over at Dialpad. Both Michael and Product Manager @ Yahoo! - Graeme Dollar are on the Xten Board of Advisors and both Vonage and Yahoo! are customers of Xten. I thought your readers may take interest in this considering Xten IS the voice inside the latest Yahoo! messenger.

Good to know, Erik.
I remember dealing with you a few times back when I was at DSLi.
Keep up the good work!
